Every Appliance has a Tag placed on it somewhere that gives you the exact Model and Serial number.

You should not try to use your Owner's Manual model number.  This is usually an incomplete number.  The owner manuals are printed for a series of models and will not be specific to your machine.  The parts of the numbers that they leave off pertain to colors and certain features.  You may end up with the wrong part if you don't have the complete number off the machine.
